Here I am again, with only a few days left in the month, and I haven't posted a damn thing. Well, this is part of why that happened....I got a new red Charger auto.
But it's not like this at all...
I traded in my 2011 Dodge Charger (SE 6 cylinder)...
For a 2022 Charger R/T (8 cylinder).
Still have the sunroof, but now also have the backup camera, a better sound system and seats, as well as a hell of a lot more engine power.
It even came with the floor liners that go up the sides.
Also in car news, the Ford is back!
Back on the road (and in the garage) after nine months at the repair shop. Still needs some things done, but at least she's running again. Hope to get her out to a couple cruise-ins or shows before winter.
And finally, the Buick has been active too.
"Dyna" was at the annual benefit show for Alzheimer's at the local Motor Vehicle office. They gave out plaques for the top 25 cars voted on by all the owners. And she got one! First time ever winning anything at a show! Usually the muscle cars and pickup trucks take all the prizes. But not this time!
So between all of this, I've also been managing my COMC inventory, adding some lots on eBay, and watching a steady influx of TCDB trades piling up on the desks here at Hivemind headquarters.
I've got trade piles right at my keyboard. The eBay lots are at the upper right.
The desk behind me is full of incoming, outgoing, and unfiled extra stuff.
Even when I started to sort and put stuff away, it sits.
And the biggest piles are the incoming / checked off stuff that goes in boxes, binders, or the set piles right behind them.
So blogging ideas have fallen down the priority list. Kind of used up my best idea after the grading post. Since I don't collect flagship sets, and haven't paid any attention to baseball games (even though my Orioles are in the playoffs), or hockey in a couple years, I don't really have a lot of post ideas. And I keep stacking up all the incoming cards, so they haven't been appearing here even in loot posts. I see YouTubers putting up discussions about new products, or recent purchases, etc. but they deal in mostly graded singles. I need to go back through a lot of the recent blogs and find some creative ideas.
Thanks for sticking around even though I've been slacking again.
And by the way, the Justin Herbert auto at the top is from an eBay auction I found. I don't own the card, and would never think about buying it, since it is currently priced at almost half what I paid for my new car!

Congrats on the new ride, and the repaired Ford is a beauty! I know nothing about cars but is is crazy that you can essentially trade in a card like that Herbie (or an Ovechkin SPA RC) for an actual *car*
ReplyDeleteOoh, that new Charger looks like it would be awfully fun to drive on the highway. Trying to keep it under a hundred though would probably be awfully difficult for me :)
ReplyDeleteNice new wheels!
