I was a little late to the party as usual, but still got a couple claims from Dime Box Nick's giveaway celebrating 11 years blogging. He added a few bonus A&G's from this year as well.
Mini inserts like this are what makes Ginter the best product out there. Time Out! is a series of events that delayed baseball games over the years. What an original concept yet still a facet of the game.
Another neat theme - Pitching a Gem with birthstones. And a non-MLB but still ballplayer and fitness trainer.
I still have to check to see if I'm actually missing this one in my Manny collection. Figured it's worth a shot though. These Swells really are swell and have so many of my PC guys.
Finally, a Mother's Cookies of the more-fan-favorite-than-All-Star Gene Tenace. I don't see Mother's too often in the wild around here. Always nice to snag one.
The PWE with the thick toploader apparently had issues on the way here. But everything was intact.

ReplyDeleteI would've claimed that Tenace had I not just gotten one a few weeks earlier on COMC. It's such a neat card.
ReplyDeleteI usually Mark envelopes with hard cases as non machinable and put the extra postage. Not sure if that is always followed or not
ReplyDeleteDang, was a little worried about the PWEs had to mail with toploaders in them! Glad yours arrived with all the cards intact. Might have to go the "non-machinable" route next time.
ReplyDelete"Time Out!" is a fantastic insert idea and I plan on trying to complete the set. Although if it's anything like my other A&G insert builds, I'll add one a year and complete it a decade later.
That Tenace is awesome! He actually had two Mother's Cookies cards in 1987. He's also in the Astros set as a coach.
