Birthday Beauties March #2 - Katharine Mcphee

I actually missed one.  I had Milana Vayntrub as March 18, but her birthday is actually March 8.  There's always next year.

So anyway, today, the 25th, is the day we celebrate who I say is the most beautiful woman on television right now, although her role isn't that glamorous.  I'm talking about Katharine McPhee.  Singer and actress, who stars weekly on Scorpion, may be better known for her second place finish on American Idol in 2006, the resultant albums, and her award winning stint on the series Smash, where she incorporated both her vocal and acting talents.

A combination of Hollywood glamour and girl-next-door sweetness, Katharine's got it all.  She went blonde for a brief time, but quickly switched back.  I was glad.

Birthday Beauties March #1 - Rachel Weisz

The second installment of the birthday series - and the first individual post.

Today we wish the lovely Rachel Weisz, star of The Mummy movies, The Constant Gardener, Bourne Legacy and Constantine,  a happy birthday ~ pretty much to increase my postings and cheat more traffic to the site.  OK, it's really 'cuz I like posting pictures of gorgeous women....

This classic, timeless beauty is married to Bond man Daniel Craig.  Call him Lucky...Damn Lucky.  Even into her 40's, Rachel is still movie star beautiful.

I actually completed a Heritage set!

Only took eight years, but I just got the last card I needed to complete my 2008 Topps Heritage set.  I now have all the base cards, including the high series, all the short prints, all the black back parallels, and all the inserts.  (Chrome parallels not included ~ I've always thought they're kinda silly).

At one point, I had a trade started for this one, but I found that I didn't have enough worthy return fire.  I found it last week on SportLots for a BUCK.  I pounced on it and added the requisite $39 more stuff from the same seller to fill out the order.  Everything arrived within a week.  So I finally could check this one off:

I think I kept calling it a New Age Performers, instead of Rookie Performers on my lists.  Seems like this was the rarest of these inserts, which include Kershaw, Scherzer, and Evan Longoria.

I'm just glad to have finally killed one of these sets.  Now just 2007, 2009, and 2014 to go....and that's only the base sets!
